LePre says financial security will happen for those willing to accept Jesus Christ as Lord of their entire lives, including the financial aspects. Although LePre makes it sound simpler than it is, he has experienced prosperity himself by doing just that. His strategy consists of seven biblically based steps to financial security. The first four deal with spiritual preparation and surrender to God, and the last two consist of commitment to the plan and teaching it to others. The fifth step, implementation, is really the meat of the book and includes seven building block strategies: (1) developing a Christ-centered budget, (2) adopting a Christian lifestyle, (3) restructuring debt, (4) acquiring appropriate insurance, (5) reallocating tax dollars, (6) investing wisely, and 7) conserving an estate. Although much of LePre’s book is philosophical, and he often strikes a rather patronizing tone, he does offer excellent money-saving strategies and practical suggestions, from grocery savings to buying a home.
